Friday, 16 April 2021. The Agricultural Science Doctoral Study Program at the University of Medan Area held a Guest Lecture: Writing and Publishing Research Papers in Indexed Journals program which was held live at the Zoom meeting and the Medan Area University Youtube Channel. The speakers are Prof. Dr. MD. Aminul Islam from University Malaysia Perlis.

• Excellent Academic Support Award 2009
• The Best Lecturer Award in 2010
• The Best Supervisor Award in 2018 and 2019 for producing the most number of PhD graduates
• Research Excellence Award in 2020 at Universiti Malaysia Perlis
• He also won ‘The Best PhD Thesis Award 2011’ for the outstanding PhD dissertation at Universiti Sains Malaysia.

The event was attended by the Director of the Postgraduate Program at the University of Medan Area Prof. Dr. Ir. Retna Astuti Kuswardani, MS and the Head of Agricultural Science Doctoral Department Universitas Medan Area Prof. Ir. Zulkarnain Lubis, MS, Ph.D and Raudha Anggraini Tarigan, SP, MP, M.Eng as moderator at the event. This event was also attended by 150 participants from several countries including Indonesia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and India.
